Privacy Policy

When you create or manage an account, we may collect:

• Your name
• Email address
• Profile photograph
• Account and authentication identifiers

The information you choose to enter may include:

• Age, height, and body weight
• Preferred units, language, appearance, and application settings
• Selected program and primary lift
• Initial and retested one-repetition maximums
• Program start dates and training-cycle information
• Workout sets, repetitions, weights, RPE ratings, and completion status
• Workout notes
• Progress, tonnage, and performance history
• Program pause status, pause and resume timestamps, selected resume date, training weekdays, optional pause reason, and pause history

This information is used to calculate and personalize your training program, display progress, and preserve your workout history.

The application and its service providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, including:

• IP address
• Browser, device, and operating-system information
• Application version
• Login and session information
• Diagnostic, error, and security logs
• Pages and features accessed

Cookies, local storage, or similar technologies may be used to maintain your session, remember preferences, and provide application functionality.

AthleticPeak Pro uses optional, privacy-friendly analytics (Google Analytics) to understand which pages and features are used. Analytics is NOT loaded until you affirmatively allow it. On your first visit you are asked whether to allow or decline analytics. If you decline, no analytics scripts load and no analytics data is collected. If you allow, Google Analytics measures aggregate, pseudonymized usage. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie / Analytics Preferences link in the site footer. We do not use advertising cookies, and advertising personalization is not enabled. Essential site functionality — programs, articles, language, theme, and text-size settings — works whether or not you allow analytics.

Your analytics preference is stored only as a first-party setting ("accepted" or "declined") in your browser. It does not contain your email, user ID, or training data, and it persists until you change it or clear browser storage.

If you use coaching features, we may collect and store information needed to operate coach-athlete relationships, including coach profiles, invitations, roster and group organization, program assignments, custom workouts, workout templates, training plans, schedule and calendar programming, rest days, availability, messages, and announcements.

Coach-athlete messages are stored and limited to the relevant relationship. Messages are append-only in current product behavior and may include optional training-context reference cards. Announcements may be delivered to multiple athletes, but each recipient receives a private message and cannot see other recipients.

You may optionally provide a mobile phone number in your AthleticPeak Pro account. Text messages are off by default. We only send SMS after you:

1. 1.Add and verify your mobile number, and
2. 2.Explicitly opt in to SMS notifications in your account settings.

Messages may include:

• Mobile number verification codes
• Notifications of coach or athlete direct messages
• Workout assignments and training reminders
• Account notifications and team announcements

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by disabling SMS notifications in your account settings. After you opt out you will receive no further SMS messages from us unless you opt back in.

We use a third-party provider (Twilio) to deliver SMS messages. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Some features use an AI integration. The information each feature receives differs and is described separately below.

• Public Training Setup Guide (website): receives what you type into the conversation and may use published Journal articles as read-only reference. It does not have access to your private athlete training record and does not write to it.
• App Setup Guide assistant: receives the text or questions you submit. It is bounded and read-only, does not receive unrestricted app or entity data, does not read workout logs or training cycles, and cannot edit your account or training. Deterministic onboarding works without it.
• Form Review: allows you to submit a photo or short video for AI-assisted movement feedback on supported exercises. Video frames may be extracted on your device; the media, derived frames, and relevant exercise context are sent through the AI integration and the analysis is returned to you. Form Review uploads are not persisted to your training records, are not shared with coaches, are not visible to other athletes, and receive no coach annotation or review.
• Website Support AI: receives your typed support question, your active locale, and a small set of retrieved localized public Support records. It does not receive your profile, training cycles, workout logs, coach relationships, private messages, Form Review media, or other private account data.

This policy describes what AthleticPeak Pro itself persists or does not persist. Third-party AI-provider retention practices are governed by the provider and are not described here beyond what AthleticPeak Pro can verify about its own storage.

If you contact us through the website contact form, we may store your name, email address, inquiry reason, subject, message, any optional app or platform information, optional bug-diagnostic details, testimonial consent where applicable, locale, and timestamp. We also store technical metadata such as your User-Agent and deduplication information, a salted hash-derived IP identifier for abuse prevention (the raw IP address is not stored in the contact record), administrative handling notes, and reply records. These records may be retained as needed to manage and respond to the inquiry; no fixed automatic deletion period is currently represented in the product implementation. The contact form uses a third-party anti-abuse verification service (Cloudflare Turnstile) and a third-party email delivery service (Resend).

If paid products or subscriptions are offered, purchases may be processed by Apple, Google, or another payment provider. AthleticPeak Pro does not receive your complete payment-card information. We may receive transaction status, receipt identifiers, subscription status, or similar information needed to verify access.

If you request to be notified when AthleticPeak Pro becomes available on the Apple App Store or Google Play, we collect your email address, platform preference, optional user type, consent record, and submission date. Your email address is normalized to lowercase and treated as unique; if you submit the request again, we update your preference instead of creating a duplicate.

These details are stored in the AthleticPeak Pro service database and used only to send the requested launch notification and to keep a record of your request. Your email address is retained until you ask us to remove it. These details are not used for unrelated marketing without separate consent, are not sold, and are not shared for advertising. Submissions may be copied to an administrative spreadsheet for management and export. To remove your request, contact david@brannan.me.

If you subscribe to the AthleticPeak Pro Journal newsletter, we collect your email address, the language selected at signup, the signup source, a consent record, and submission and confirmation timestamps. Subscriptions use confirmed double opt-in: after you submit the form we send a confirmation email, and your subscription is activated only after you confirm.

Your email address is normalized to lowercase, stored in the AthleticPeak Pro service database, and retained while your subscription is active and until you unsubscribe or request deletion. You can unsubscribe at any time using the one-click unsubscribe link included in every newsletter. Newsletter subscriptions are kept separate from mobile launch notifications — subscribing to the newsletter does not sign you up for launch alerts, and vice versa. Subscriber records may be copied to an administrative spreadsheet for management and export. To remove your subscription, use the unsubscribe link or contact david@brannan.me.

Information may be processed by companies that provide hosting, databases, authentication, storage, application distribution, analytics, diagnostics, email, customer support, or payment processing. These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services.

Information may be included in reports, session sheets, or exported files when you choose to create, download, print, or share them.

Information may be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or misuse, or enforce applicable agreements.

Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of the service. Any successor would remain responsible for handling the information under applicable privacy requirements.

When you have an active coaching relationship, an authorized coach may access your permitted training cycles, workout results, assignments, calendar and schedule information, and other explicitly shared coaching records. A coach may create and assign programs, custom workouts, workout templates, training plans, rest days, and schedule interruptions.

A coach does not receive unrestricted access to your account. A coach cannot edit your workout results, cannot change your one-repetition maximum, cannot see your private free-form workout notes, cannot view your Form Review uploads or results, and does not receive unrestricted profile information. Free-form athlete workout notes are private from coaches; notes that a coach authors or that a program intentionally shares (such as plan or rest-day notes) may be visible where the product is designed to share them.

Either you or your coach may end the coaching relationship. When a relationship ends, relationship-based current access ends and the conversation becomes read-only. Your training history remains, and some historical coach-side records may remain.

When you open an embedded exercise video, the YouTube player may communicate with Google/YouTube and process information such as device, network, playback, and interaction data in accordance with Google's/YouTube's own privacy terms.

AthleticPeak Pro does not load the YouTube player until you choose to open a demonstration, so no third-party video player loads during normal page views of Log Workout, the Workout Builder, or Programs.

We use third-party services to operate specific parts of AthleticPeak Pro. Current verified services include:

• Base44 — hosting, application, database, authentication, storage, and platform functionality
• Base44 / InvokeLLM AI integration — AI-assisted features
• Cloudflare Turnstile — contact form anti-abuse verification
• Resend — email delivery for contact and relevant transactional email
• Twilio — text-message functionality
• Google Analytics — consent-gated website analytics
• Google OAuth — authentication where used
• YouTube — exercise and demonstration video playback when you open a video

These services' retention and data practices are governed by their own terms. AthleticPeak Pro does not control and does not describe their practices beyond what it can verify about its own storage.
