Life changes the schedule. It doesn't erase the work.
Training plans are orderly. Life rarely is. Pause an active program without losing completed workouts, progression, Training Maxes, drafts, or the exact session that comes next. When you return, choose a new date and continue with the workout that was already next.
Injury, illness, travel, school, facility closure, weather, and scheduling conflicts can interrupt training. A spreadsheet keeps assigning dates. A simple calendar labels workouts missed. Starting over discards useful work, while skipping forward changes the intended progression. AthleticPeak Pro freezes the program where it is.
The schedule can move without resetting the record.
Training in progress
Completed work is already part of the record, and the next required session is known.
Program paused
Completed work, history, progression state, drafts, and the next required session stay in place while future scheduling stops advancing.
Continue from where you were
Choose a return date. Future dates rebuild around it, while completed and historical work stays unchanged and the same next session remains next.

Auto-Save
Protects the workout currently being entered during navigation, refresh, offline use, or forgotten manual saving.
Pause Program
Temporarily freezes the entire program schedule and progression while preserving the exact next workout.
Switch Program
Moves the athlete to a different training program while preserving the previous cycle and history.
Complete Program
Marks a program as successfully finished.
Archive Program
Closes a cycle that is no longer current without deleting its history.
Delete Program
Permanently removes the cycle according to the app's verified deletion rules.
Auto-Save protects the workout you are entering. Pause protects the program around it. If you pause with an unfinished workout, the draft remains waiting with the same session when you resume.
Pause & Resume works across different program structures. Fixed-week programs preserve their week and day identity; continuous programs preserve their rotation and session state.
Whether the next workout is Smolov Week 4 Day 2, Tiered Strength Progression B1, Foundation Workout B, Texas Method Intensity Day, or Training Max Volume Day 4, that identity remains next after the pause.

Choose a return date, review training weekdays, preview future sessions, and continue with the exact workout that was next.
Resuming does not skip interrupted workouts. The exact next required workout remains next.
AthleticPeak Pro preserves the training plan. It does not diagnose injury, prescribe rehabilitation, or determine when an athlete is medically ready to return. Seek appropriate professional guidance when pain or injury is involved.
